Paul, Yeah the audio is autrocious (sp?)! But as I was viewing your London link, I saw a link to another video in the comments section and it lead to a MUCH better sounding recording of that London ver. of "Video Killed..." but the video is... well... you will just have to check it out! Boz, I think you will like this video especially since you love The Village People. Enjoy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOKN7idjOok __________________ "I believe I can change my world."

Reply with quote | #33 | Well,I will post once more on The feeling's CD ,at the risk of boring you good peeps.
The standout song for me is 'Strange'. It's such a beautiful sentiment, and the delivery is gorgeous. It reminded me a little of the Cars 'Drive',and my immediate
thought was--' Hey, what would it sound like with Mutt Lange's production?'. But then I thought--no! it's fabulous--leave it alone! Why does that thought enter my head? I will be interested to get some feedback from you lot.Yes,they are a pop act,
in the fine tradition of Supertramp and The Beach Boys -- for my money, they have leap-frogged 25yrs of BS, and produced music based in evocative, emotional substance, laced with an essential humour, then poured gallons of delicious aural-chocolate over it.
Check out 'Strange'--I'm sure you will agree ---the boy is quality . |

Lucky for me, Amazon says that it's on it way! I am really looking forward to hearing this album. The songs on their MySpace page are really good! Johan, once you listen to The Rosenbergs, let me know what you think. If you like them, then I will suggest a couple more for you. __________________ "I believe I can change my world."

Reply with quote | #36 | I'm having trouble with the fact that my accountant for the last 25 years has been Mr.Rosenberg (he's mentioned on several CDs),but I'll just have to get past that and move on. |

Well I got The Feeling CD the other day. And I do like it a lot! I will not say I love it...yet! But with each passing listen it does grow on you! So far my favorites are: Love It When You Call and Never Be Lonely. The Rosenbergs are more Power Pop than The Feeling. Most of their songs are guitar/bass/drums driven. Hopefully you can get over the fact that The Rosenbergs share a name with your accountant and you will give them a listen. (PS: They do have a MySpace page availale with music, but it is more recent stuff, which is good, but I think you need to start with Mission: You.) __________________ "I believe I can change my world."

I'm glad you like it. I found that it grew on me in the way that good pop music did way back, before I had the misfortune to question 'why' I liked something. |

Hi John - yeah, The Feeling are a great act. Also check out Muse, very good too. In relation to The Feeling, am I way off the mark in saying Never Be Lonely sounds very Gerry Rafferty-esque? Just something about the vocals and Fender Rhodes sound... __________________ "Grand Funk Railroad paved the way for Jefferson Airplane, which cleared the way for Jefferson Starship. Johan, when you go see The Feeling in concert here soon, I hope you will get the opportunity to speak to the band. You might put the bug in their ear that using Asia's "Here Comes The Feeling" as their walk-on music would be a great idea and heck, it even makes sense! Ahhhh, yet another ingenius idea from the same guy that brought to you the "Aroma" idea with the Roger Dean scratch and sniff album art! Man, I am so freakin' dangerous! __________________ "I believe I can change my world."
