The painting is actually at my mother-in-law's home. She had to fix the frame on it because we were in that terrible car accident about a block away from the concert venue.
The force of the accident bent the frame sideways, which is how it looked when we presented it to Martin and Johan. Fortunately, the canvas itself was not damaged in the crash.
The lady that hit us ran the light and hit us broadside in the gas tank which caused our car to be towed away. Brad hit his head on the side window, my mother-in-law hurt her neck and I hit my knees on the dashboard.
The lady was ticketed for failure to yield and driving without insurance and the cop actually let her leave the scene, which to this day, being an insurance agent myself, I still don't understand. I thought the insurance company was going to total our car, but they were able to fix it, which was a huge relief because the car was only a couple of years old (2005 PT Cruiser with only about 22,000 miles on it).
The Indianapolis Fire Dept. who arrived on the scene, and Tatman's Auto Body, who fixed our PT Cruiser, told us that the accident could have been much worse considering where she hit us. They were worried about a gas tank explosion. The auto body specialist at Tatman's told us that the car had absorbed most of the impact of the accident. The lady that hit us had a Chevy Malibu and her car actually looked worse than ours, despite the fact that she was able to drive away from the scene.
My father had the aneurysm about a week after the concert and I have been so busy dealing with his issues, that just haven't been able to get it back from her. He has been in the hospital about twenty times since April, fifteen of those were emergency room visits. We almost lost him on May 13th.
Once I get the painting back, it will be put back on our bedroom wall. This painting is actually a cross collectible, which would never be sold. My mother-in-law painted it and I was lucky enough to get it signed by Johan and Geoff. It is truly a cross collectible.
My co-workers at CCMSI were kind enough to make several color prints of the painting because Martin had asked if we could get them several prints of the painting. We gave Johan and Martin the prints they requested and I hope they put the prints to good use. My mother-in-law, who is not a trained painter, and just paints in her spare time, was very honored by all of this.
We owe both Johan and Martin a debt of gratitude that we will never be able to repay for their kindness and understanding. They were both so gracious and concerned after learning of our accident. Martin was kind enough to take the painting back for the guys to sign it and Johan was so kind to take the time to meet us and ask if we were alright.
I had purchased some Easy Buttons for them and gave them to Johan explaining that my co-worker had one on her desk and everytime my husband came to my office he would push the Easy Button on her desk, knowing it would say "that was easy."
One day, out of frustration, I told him to "stop pushing Justine's easy button," which sounded like a bad "Three's Company" joke when taken out of context. I thought the guys would appreciate the humor in the Easy Buttons, which is why I got them. I hope they have made good use of them.
I hope to have time in the months ahead to check in now and again with everyone here at the GB.
Despite my busy schedule I decided to start on-line classes at the University of Phoenix (Phoenix, coincidence?) to obtain my Bachelor's Degree and then go for my Master's Degree.
It has always been my dream to obtain my Bachelor's and I can actually get both degrees in the next three years. I am in my third class at UOP and highly recommend it for anyone that wants to pursue their degree. It is the only way to juggle a full-time job and caregiver because I can fit school into my crazy schedule.

It's wonderful to hear from you again! I hope things are going well for you and that you are taking care of yourself.
This past year, the one thing that I have learned from dealing with all of my father's health issues is that if you don't have your health, you don't have anything.
I am so glad to hear that everyone enjoys their "easy" buttons. When I got them, Brad wasn't sure if everyone would see the humor in them, but I was quite confident you would get it.
I'm curious, have you had to tell anyone to stop "pressing your easy button?" (Ha ha!)

If I may be so bold, Miss Sexy, may I recommend a massage? I had a very looong day myself, and after a fabulous massage with Reiki (by a very talented massage therapist) I am feeling relaxed and much happier! __________________ "Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life...When you arise in the morning, give thanks for the food and for the joy of living.
