Amie, , but a bigger thanks because your post was the correct; whereas  Missmoonlight's threw me off.  Like OMG is it that late!!!  This weekend, hopefully, we'll all be on the same time???  Because it's political, I'll hold off my daughter's remark as to who screwed up with DLS time.

I've bought a ticket for their concert also in Vicenza, on Nov. 2nd.
First row, in front of Steve, really!

And, of course, in front of Steve's, ummmm....

You're welcome for the visual, Evelyn.  I am evil.  I know.

Some good stuff in there.

See who you can spot:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWYH3uEibnQ

Looks like Carl Palmer right at the beginning followed by various folks including a typically miserable Ginger Baker, a very friendly Brian May (he's a trooper) assorted members of ZZ Top and Johan's old buddy Mick Box (along with other Heepsters like Trevor Bolder) and so on ...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVtZlfEjUIc&feature=channel

A whole load of people I don't know and then the ever buoyant Ronnie Wood, a smiling Paul Rodgers and a fleeting appearance by Slash ...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3EOo9b3w_o&feature=channel

Iggy Pop, Joe Perry, Chrissie Hynde, business as usual for Pete Townshend ...

Early this morning, under a brilliantly clear, star-speckled sky, I marked my 30th year as a runner with a 10-mile run. I usually take my mp3 player on long runs, and I did so today, allowing JW's inspiring music to serve as the soundtrack for this important run and important day. Rock of Faith and Arkangel were the selections this morning.

Johan, thanks for coming along with me and being part of the celebration.

Just checked out Classic Rock Magazine Websit. July 26 2010 in the UK.
Now that sounds pretty good to me.Knowing bands "covered" by the magazine the line up could be mouthwatering.

...not if Asia, Yes and ELP were all touring together!  I can dream can't I?!

Perhaps even a few acoustic ICON songs mixed in by Johan and Geoff between sets.  Hmmmmmmm?

Yup, dar she blows, it's announced on their site.  How exciting!  Not as exciting as anything Asia or iCon or Wetton solo, but hey, it'll do for today.

From what I've read on various prog-related sites, the ELP reunion is expected to be a one-off gig. Then again, a new interview with Greg Lake shows that he and Keith Emerson have been getting together to write music again! http://newears.wordpress.com/2009/11/05/a-conversation-with-greg-lake/
Recent years have been quite good to us fans of Asia, UK, Yes, ELP, haven't they?!

Crap, I definitely need to win the lottery!  That ELP show would be one of the top most awesome shows to see!  I hope they change their minds and make a tour of it--provided it doesn't interfere with ASIA biz, of course.

Since I'm trying to figure out what my next job should be, maybe I should try this answer!  (Seriously, Carl has nothing to fear from me - I can only play one instrument with one rhythm at a time.  Although you need 2 hands for handbells.)

A good chuckle over morning coffee.

Hmm, can someone tell me this picture of Mr. Wetton was taken? It's a really nice one.
