Johan I saw on line that Carl has an idea for a tour for next year of Asia family and friends? Whats your take on this? I love the idea. A lot of possibilities and players considering all of the people you 4 have worked with over the years. Probably financially difficult to bring to the States though? I hope if this happens you guys make a DVD? Enjoy your summer and tour. ( I just edited my spelling, I know what a sow you are on correct grammar Johan)

The KE announcement is very heartbreaking actually but if he never records again I think he's left us with a masterwork with his last recording that I'm very happy he gave us. Logistically this is a very doable scenario. I think it would be a great great career cap for these absolutely marvelous musicians. The biggest problem I can see is the net letting the cat out of the bag as to the surprises that the fans would have? The whole idea of all these musicians applying there craft in a concert setting is just too wild to see happen? I have to give Carl credit because when it came to ASIA everything progressed exactly the way he said he wanted it to when it all started out. I'm sorry but as much as I would have liked to see the ELP thing happen I think this would be incredibly more interesting. We have to see though how Johan, Steve and Geoff feel about it? All I know is that I really have enjoyed the last 3 years very much. I wonder sometimes if you really grasp how much we're enjoying this Johan? Thank you!!!!!!

| I'm not quite sure I understand what you're saying here. Are you saying that CP had a vision and we've seen it through,because that is taking vast amounts of kudos away from everyone who has worked at this,not least of all our management,who-- from the very start----have tirelessly worked over every detail of Asia's renaissance,and had even laid the foundation stones long before the band meeting that made the reunion possible. I'm not saying that Carl's contribution was any less,but other people deserve credit for what has happened. Carl has come up with an excellent and viable idea (which he does frequently) for next year which has been greeted positively and with much enthusiasm,but it has much more to do with what each band member is doing now,rather than what he was doing 30 years ago. |

I agree Johan. The genesis of this entire rebirth was multifactorial. We have been blessed with this reunion, and I personally am thankful everyday for the opportunity of seeing my all time favorite band back together again. I still listen to Phoenix at least once a week and revel in it's joy! Hopefully we will enjoy many more years of this blessing and appreciate all that our 4 maestros continue to give us. In case you don't hear it enough....Thank You.

My sincere apologies Johan. I was totally not meaning to take anything away from the other participants in your reformation. I recognize that you and Geoff really got the ball rolling when you re teemed with ICON. I just remembered Carl seeming to be the lone possible holdout early on and saying how he wanted it to be maybe a tour, live DVD then possible studio recording? I never meant to imply that this was ever his baby alone. As to who's vision it was I can easily tell from Phoenix that it was a vision shared by all in the joy shining through on that recording. On the idea for next year that you do say is from Carl I never thought that you would only have musicians that were applying there craft 30 years ago alone. You all work with some incredible talent. You and Geoff with Icon, Paul Bielatowicz with CP and Steve's sons. I realize there is a lot of younger talent out there to be tapped. Marc Bonilla on the KE cd is still blowing me away. Whatever you guys decide to do next year I'm sure it will be amazing and appreciated. I hope that you accept my apologies?

Well, I thank God and the fates that health, desire, creative genius and demand all aligned so that Johan, Management, Carl, Geoff, Steve, and the fans could make this possible... None of it could've worked by coincidence or happenstance. May it long continue in a positive direction for all.

Maybe I misunderstood the idea with the Friends and Family concept. I had taken it as a large multi-band festival featuring Asia adn the bands from which it sprung

| I haven't read the article,so I haven't a ******* clue what I'm talking about,but the festival featuring Yes,Asia and ELP (Crimson would never ever be a goer,here) would have feasibly been very very difficult but possible,except for what has happened to KE and JA in the recent past.I thunk what you're getting is close, but F&F is something completely different, proposed to be Asia,iCon,CPB and SH3. |

Johan, do you think that such an event would ever see the States or is it probably a U.K./ Europe venture? (Meaning the nation and the continent, respectively, not the bands  )
